1. That sounds like the longest and most complex route to get the Pi to display via SCART. There is a much easier route: get a composite cable (if you have a Pi A/B) or a 3.5mm to Composite cable (if you have a Pi A+/B+/2B) and a composite to SCART adapter. Here is a post that shows how to use this (it's about installing Rasplex but ignore that
Way 3. Check HDMI Connection. If you want to connect your tablet to the TV, make sure the HDMI connection setting is enabled on your device. Aug 29, 2016. #2. Sky and Xbox to TV with HDMI . If the TV has a headphone jack or analog RCA outputs use them. Likely it only has optical audio out. If so then you need a DAC to convert the optical to stereo analog audio, Set the TV to output in s channel or PCM. On some TVs you have to turn the optical audio on and maybe turn the TV speakers
I would recommend using a VGA to BNC cable (if you have a PVM) or to SCART. A modern pc vga port can only output a 31kHz signal and you need a 15 kHz one. So I recommend checking out the software soft-15kHz. If you're already outputting a 15 kHz signal (either CRT Emudriver on a compatible ATI Radeon card, or Soft15kHz) then I can strongly
My parents just got a new tv, and the last one was connected via a scart cable to a DVD player/home cinema surround system thing. The model is called LG HT303SU. This thing doesn’t have a hdmi port, only scart. The tv however only has hdmi ports, no scart ports. My question is: is it possible to connect these two together somehow?

The dvd player wont output via the Sky VCR scart because of the copy protection that the player will send out. Connect the Sky to the dvd player (deactivate the scart control on the settings) then dvd player to dvd. That way the tv should switch to scart for the dvd and over to the HDMI input when you switch the Sky box on.
Coaxial output: connect with audio amplifier. Feature: 1. Convert SCART signal (RGB or composite video) to HDMI 720p or 1080P signal. 2. HDMI output: 720P, 1080P. 3. If your AVR offers Composite video to HDMI conversion or Component Video to HDMI conversion it would be simple enough to convert the SCART Output of the Source to either of those formats (SCART RGB to YUV being preferable) and allow the AVR to do the up-conversion for you.
